Aufgenommen im ‚Carousel Ballroom‘ in San Francisco im April desselben Jahres - nur wenige Tage vor der Veröffentlichung von Cashs legendärem „At Folsom Prison“-Album (und mehr als sechs Monate vor dem Erscheinen des gleichsam verehrten „At San Quentin“), ist „At The Carousel Ballroom“ ein drittes unverzichtbares - und völlig einzigartiges – musikalisches Live-Dokument aus dieser Zeit und jetzt als „Bear's Sonic Journals: Johnny Cash, At The Carousel Ballroom, April 24 1968" erhältlich.
